EUVG reinforces its commitment to promoting Mental Health and Well-Being in Higher Education

Professor Ferdinando Bernardino de Freitas, President of the Board of Directors of Escola Universitária Vasco da Gama (EUVG), took part in the meeting “Evolution, Challenges and Continuity”, held on May 11 at Teatro Thalia, in Lisbon. The initiative brought together institutional leaders, policymakers and mental health experts to present the main conclusions of the Programme for the Promotion of Mental Health in Higher Education (2023–2026).

The programme aimed to support Higher Education Institutions in the development of projects focused on mental health and well-being, addressing emerging challenges throughout the academic journey and the transition into the labour market.

During the meeting, perspectives and strategic guidelines for the continuation project planned for 2027–2029 were also presented.

EUVG remains strategically committed to fostering an academic culture centred on Mental Health, Well-Being and the holistic development of its academic community, contributing to healthier, more inclusive and sustainable educational environments.
