The Vasco da Gama Research Centre (CIVG) of the Vasco da Gama University School (EUVG) once again joined the Ciência Viva no Verão 2026 initiative, organising a series of activities dedicated to biodiversity, health, and the environment.
The initiatives Haja Saúde na Ilha (Health on the Island), Haja Saúde na Bio-Reserva (Health in the Bio-Reserve), and Haja Saúde na Praia (Health at the Beach) attracted an excellent public turnout, providing hands-on learning experiences in direct contact with nature while promoting science through practical and interactive activities.
Throughout these initiatives, participants had the opportunity to explore biodiversity, understand the relationship between health and the environment, and gain first-hand insight into the research carried out by CIVG researchers. This participation reinforces the commitment of CIVG at EUVG to promoting scientific literacy and bringing science closer to the community.
The Ciência Viva no Verão 2026 programme continues on 1 September with the activity Haja Saúde com o PLASTI(MI)TOX (Health with PLASTI(MI)TOX), furthering its mission to raise public awareness of current scientific topics through participatory experiences and direct engagement with research.
